5 year old male Bengal cat needing home or rescue!

Owner must place cat personal issues. Niki is in perfect health and is absolutely beautiful. Niki is 5 years old. He is neutered and UTD on shots as of October. Niki is declawed and has never been outside so is strictly an indoor cat. Not sure how he is with other animals other than his brother. He is very timid/shy but can be very vocal.

Pictures are recent. "He is difficult to catch and hold, will set in your lap sometimes if you have a blanket for him to lay on. Follows you around in the house. He has all his shots and is healthy. Talks to you loudly.We just cannot take care of him due to our health problems."

Owners will be very picky in placing Niki.

For anyone that is not familiar with Bengal cats need not respond. These cats are not entirely like domestic cats and are also bigger than the normal domestic cat. Bengals are not always good with smaller animals or other animals unless raised with them. These cats are a special breed and take a special kind of home. This breed of cat was created by mixing a domestic cat with a wild cat and so may retain some of their wild. This in turn can make them unpredictable.

This is a very special dog. She is staying in my neighbors yard, who has a wrought iron fence. The dog can see out so she is happy. I bring her in around 4 PM. Apparently a neighbor kept her for a few days in her wooden fenced backyard, but she broke the fence and dug a ditch and escaped. I think she is looking for her owners.

She is a lot calmer now that she can watch our house and the neighborhood from where she is. She needs a family who has a big yard or some space for her to run. We are on 1/2 acre lots here, and it seems to work for her, but she is still young and I think she would make a great farm dog. She is sooooo smart! Even my neighbor keeps telling me how amazing this dog is.

Female, 2-3 years old. Shepherd mix (possibly some Australian Shepherd). Medium sized, 57.7 lbs. This dog would make a great pet for kids. She is intelligent, attentive, agile and knows commands like sit, stay, shake hands, no, lay down, roll over. She loves to shake hands and catch a ball and bring it back. She is very affectionate and loves to hang out with the family and take long walks ( she wants to take the lead and will need a strong owner who knows how to be the alpha dog!). She is good natured, obedient, learns quickly. She is calm (does not bark often) and well mannered indoors and is House trained. She needs a fenced yard to run in and people willing to play with her. This is the Treasure some lucky family needs to find!

A couple weeks ago I was called to help a tiny elderly woman who had been watching & feeding a mother dog & her 4 puppies in Wills Point (about 45 minutes east of Dallas). "Ally" had been dumped pregnant in the middle of our scorching summer in the woods behind this lady's house. Once the pups were born, mama dog brought them up, one by one. When she didn't want them nursing any longer, this lady coralled them, but to where Ally could still see them. Calls for help to the City and Sheriff's Office fell on deaf ears. Then someone gave this lady my cell phone #. (Imagine that, lol!) So..... now I have mama dog & her 3 large, short, stocky puppies!! We have no room in our program, and they will have little to no chance at our shelter, especially mama. I am leaving to go out of state next Wednesday! If I can't find them homes or rescue, they will have to go to the shelter, where they will be separated, each into a little concrete square. And I'll repeat -- they have very little chance of making it out the front door.

ALLY: Mama dog. She is super sweet and loving, and deserves a loving home & a 2nd chance!! I'd keep her if I could, but I'm over my quota!!!! She is a beautiful Black Lab mixed with maybe a little Mastiff? She is super muscular, but gentle. Her paws are huge, which match her poor teets, even tho she's young. She had hair loss, but has fully recovered with good nutrition and antibiotics. I am treating her for an eye infection. She minds well and just wants to please.

It's time for these dogs to be separated and start living lives of their own. Can anyone take 1, 2, 3 -- or all 4 -- into your rescue program? Or know anyone that can? Even if 4 groups could each take one, that would be SO GREAT!!!!! Or better yet, ADOPTERS!!! I'm sick with the thought of having to take them to our shelter. :( Any help would be appreciated, and transport help can be arranged. THANKS!!!!!

Pit Bull Seized in Log Cabin needs a home NOW!

I have received a number of phone calls regarding this dog. He is currently being held in the kennels at Log Cabin and is in the care of the Chief of Police, Wayne Nutt. I spoke with Chief Nutt today. He wants to find a home with a yard and a family to love. So this is my plea for Mack. Please consider fostering Mack. If you can not offer Mack a home, please help us get him vetted and ready for his permanant home. Within the next week, if Mack does not find a foster home, he will probably brought ot the shelter, where he will stay until we find a suitable foster or rescue. Mack will have to be neutered and shots and I feel sure he will be heart worm positive as he has spent his life on a chain with little or no protection. So he will have to be treated for heart worms.

Toby is a happy Catahoula mix puppy about 4 to 5 months old that was found today in a cemetary not far from the shelter. A very nice person called the shetler and said she had been at the cemetary and found Toby and wanted to know if she could bring him to HSCCL. When she arrived with Toby, she said that while she was petting him, he rolled over on his back and she realized he was cut open near his penis. Upon examination, it appears that some person decided to neuter Toby at home. But it is a batched job and his testicles and penis have been removed. At this point, we are not sure how he is urinating. We have taken him to the vet and at this point, we know that he has to have surgery.

So what are we looking for to help Toby?? A foster home would be a great start. We will need to raise $500 for the surgery and vet care. And he will have to have a permanant home to be cared for. She has been exposed to children age 6 and up for short periods of time. Sugar is very muscular, has lots of energy, likes to run in the backyard, and fetch a ball. She enjoys walks and she is a quick learner, and practices the commands for sit, stay, come and down. Sugar enjoys being crated at night and spends the day in the backyard if the weather permits it. The gold and white dog is named Zelda. She looks like a Great Pyreenes, but her hair is like an Australian Shepherd. The first picture was when she was about 5-6 mo. old. The second is is with Saturn who is the white and black Australian Shepherd. My daughter needs a home for both dogs as her landlord told her today that she would have to get rid of Saturn as she is chewing through the electrical lines outside the house. They are both sweet dogs and need good homes, if you can help. My daughter loves them both and doesn't want to part with either one, but Zelda (pyr mix dog) won't stop jumping up on them. Great Pyrenees in need of RESCUE! Corsicana, TX - Living in unbelievably horrible situation!

Hi, I am trying to get help for a Great Pyrenees that is inhumanely chained next door. He has no shelter other than a few leaves left on the small pecan tree. He has a chain that sometimes tangles and only allows him 5 feet to move in 2 directions. I have called animal control 14 times and the police twice (on weekends). Have been told that the owners are being cited for violations and that it is a process that takes time. Meanwhile it has become very cold. This dog stands in water and cries because it's too cold to sit or lay down. They owners present him with what appears to be a cat dish with maybe a cup of food and water maybe once a day. If it's raining they don't bother. I have been feeding him and sticking the water hose through the fence so he doesn't suffer as much. But I cant help him out of the rain and cold! I asked them if I could PLEASE have the dog. They said no. They don't speak much English but I managed to plead with them to at least move the dog to the carport when it is raining. They did that day for 1 day only as he barks too much when he can see them and they don't want to be bothered. The next weekend ,12/3/11 he was in the backyard as usual over night in the cold rain. The photos I sent are from Sunday morning 12/4/11 it had been raining on and off since Friday. I called the police, they came out, knocked, the people didn't answer, the cop came and spoke to me, told me that he will refer it to animal control Monday. As soon as the officer drove away the neighbor came out, gave me a dirty look and moved the dog to the carport. So they know it is wrong but don't care about this poor dog. The dog has only been next door for about 6 weeks. I don't talk to that neighbor guy, (he doesn't speak English) but I think he just moved a girlfriend in and it's her dog. That's why he's only been there about 6 weeks. So in 6 weeks, 14 calls to animal control and 2 to police and now 1 email to y'all. I also was refered to the law and pulled up article 2.1900 restraint and confinement and one of the laws are that NO animal shall be tied/tethered between the hours of 10pm and 6am. This dog is inhumanely chained 24/7 and being neglected and tonight he is wet and it will be 30 degrees. He is still on the carport where I cant see him. He is a little better off as far as rain but then I cant feed and water him from over there. Sorry this letter is so long. If anyone can help, please do!

One of the dogs who showed up here killed my neighbor's chickens and WILL BE SHOT if he doesn't get moved NOW! This sweet, gentle boy showed up on my neighbors porch 4 days ago. They havent fed him, hes acting listless, ears itch constantly, left eye looks infected. She thought he was a pit bull, but he looks like maybe an American Bull terrier? Hes intact. Ill start to put food out for him, but Ive got a foster dog that my dogs wont accept already. I hoped Krista might recognize him as a breed that has a rescue group with room.

Neutered Male Heeler/Lab mix needs to find a home. Only about 40 lbs, he's medium-sized, with blue-grey at his throat, the head of a lab, and the furry feet and silky hair of a spaniel. He's about 1 year old, and has been chained outside just about his whole life. He's had no training and only punishment from humans, so he needs a special person. If I hold my hand up in the "stay" command, he flinches and cowers because he thinks I'm going to hit him. He's settled down amazingly, though I still have to chain him outside or keep him in the garage. I've had very little time to work with him, but he is so smart. He learned to open my lever-style door handles in about 30 seconds, so I have to keep the doors locked. When not chained outside, he's in the garage, but he learned to operate the lock to the pet door so I have to keep a trunk in front of the pet door to keep him in the garage. Look at those eyes and you can see the intelligence there.

He's learning to walk on a leash, sit, and not jump on people. He worships men, is wary of women. He'll be an amazing dog for a kind person who has time to work with him.

Someone dumped 10 puppies on our road. I live out in the country and get dogs dumped all the time. I take them in, de-worm, give shots, and try to find them homes. My husband built me a kennel so I had a safe place to put them until homes were found. My kennel is full right now and there is NO place for these 10 puppies to be out of the cold and safe. Could you possibly take them???? If not do you know someone that might be able to, even if it is a few of them. I have started their de-worming and am trying to find shots for them. I am attaching pictures (face and side views) of each one. The Runt is about 2 ï¿½ to 3 pounds and the biggest is 7 to 8 pounds.

Russian Blue cat needs new home please!

Male Russian Blue mix. He is four years old and is neutered.
He has a very laid-back personality, loves to be carried on my shoulder and wants to be with his people.

We have several other pets in our busy home and his possessive nature causes him stress over having to share his space.
I envision him being content in a home as an only pet with a mature lady or couple.

He is not in any imminent danger as he is in our home and the thought of taking him to a shelter with an unknown destination is just too heart breaking.

I will provide his food, box, bedding and litter and will contribute to his placement costs if you think your organization will be able to help.

LOST!

Last Thursday my yorkie mix dog (about one year old) went missing. we had just adopted him from the cedar creek animal shelter the week before. He is blond in color. He has a bad cough. He has been chipped. He was wearing a blue collar with rhinestones but his tags are bout on there because he was just neutered and had been wearing that special no lick neckcollar. His name is Sami. He weights about 2 pounds.

Beautiful 11-year old lab dumped at shelter because she's too old - hope no one does that to that idiot!!

This absolutely gorgeous dog deserved better than to be dumped at a shelter when the owner got tired of her. She is a bit arthritic (but aren't we all??) and is heartworm positive (but that is not a factor for her now).

Please can someone take this wonderful dog and let her live out her life in peace and love??

Timpe is a nearly 4 year old, spayed, registered American Bulldog. She is a gentle,loving pet whose favorite game is "chase the stick". She has spent most of her life with adults, but is good with children. Toddlers sometimes make her a little nervous. She gets along well with cats and other dogs.

She is active, healthy, up to date with all immunizations and terrified of thunder. (Thunder Shirt comes with Timpe). She weighs between 75 and 80 lbs. and, for a dog that size, takes very little room. She has a bed in the living room and another in the bedroom, and unless something is going on, can be found on one or the other.

She has just returned from a 6,000 mile trip across the country in the car and was a real dream throughout. New places almost every day and she adjusted easily.
