I have two of four kittens left that I rescued from a feral mom.  I also found a small kitten crying in the ditch on my way home from Wal Mart last Saturday late evening.  Two black and white kittens I think are females and a Tortise shell male.  If I can get these kittens in to be fixed in July, I'll pay for the surgeries if someone in Friends can foster them and find them homes.  I'm totally out of space her with mini horse babies and fawns.

Let me know what can be worked out.  Contact Lois at starline@mycvc.net

Two little kittens, rescued from a burn pile (the others in the litter were burned to death), are not weaned yet (and where is the mother??) and need someone who can bottle feed them until we can find a home for them.

Can you do this?  If so, please call or e-mail Melissa Collins - 903-451-2052 or 214-505-7499 or email: catloverps99@embarqmail.com ...she needs help with this NOW!

A little boy dachschund, abandoned in an apartment and just discovered, is in need of a new home with someone who won't dump him out when it's inconvenient.

I don't know anything about this dog except that he's not neutered yet.

Contact Barbara or John Kennedy at 903-451-3093 for more info about this little boy.

These two beautiful Labs, see pictures below, need a home. It is preferred they stay together. You may not be interested, but you might know someone that is. Let me know and I'll put you in contact with them. And if you don't know much about Labs, they are the BEST dogs for any situation, they are full of unconditional love.

Thanks for your help.

Family in trouble and devastated - lost jobs, losing home, these beautiful dogs are 2 more victims of our current economic crisis. The family is heartbroken, but have no options. If Shadow isn't altered VERY soon (already 9 mo old) the problem will likely multiply...

Year old male purebred yellow lab; (Toby) neutered, microchipped, current on rabies, obedience trained, leash trained, housebroken, good with kids and other dogs, and very cat friendly. He especially loves truck rides, walks, swimming, going to the dog park and high-energy kids. He knows and likes his schedule of walks and feedings and will bark to remind you when it's time for either.

9 mo old female purebred black lab; (Shadow) she still needs to be altered, she's current on her rabies, working on obedience training (knows 'sit', 'stay' and 'be a lady'--ie; wait for your food to actually get in the bowl, before inhaling it!), working on walking on her leash, (still easily distracted in her youth), housebroken, good with kids, other dogs, and cats. She loves to play ball and keep-away, and will play as long as her playmates have the energy. She has her own swimming pool, but prefers to get in with the kids whenever they swim. She is happy all the time and just wants to be where ever the family and other dog (or cat) is.

LOST!!!!

Lost from Del Mar Subdivision, 60lb female German Shepherd. Black and tan, has collar, no tag. Name is Nikita.  Is probably in heat.

Call Travis Poe @ 903-451-4081.  Thank you.

Well Hello and Here We Go Again!

My name is Krista Mc Anally and I am asking for your help in finding foster homes, rescue space or adoptive homes for the following dogs before they have to be put to sleep.  The dogs are all located at the Humane Society of Cedar Creek Lake.  We are 52 miles SE of Dallas in Tool, TX.  Please do not let distance prevent you from helping as we can usually work out transports. And if you have not fostered for us before, please download and complete the foster application. application.

The following dogs will be put to sleep on July 16th.

My name is Felix. I am about 5 months old and I am a guard dog. Anytime I see a stranger and something different I bark and bark. That's my job! I love the people I know and I get along with other dogs. I have been wormed and I have been given my puppy shots. Everyone says I am adorable, that's OK but they just don't know how tough I am. I will protect my forever family for everything. That's what I am looking for, a family to take care of!! Please come visit me.

Our name is Reed & Levi.  We are brothers. We were brought to the shelter because we came up to the people's house looking for food and they did not want us there. We are about 7 months old. We have our puppy shots and have been wormed.  We love people and are looking for a yard to play in and people to love.

My name is Sara and I am about 8 months old. I was brought to the shelter by Animal Control. I am current on my shots except rabies and I have been wormed. I am playful and looking forward to having my own yard to play in. I get along with other dogs and cats. I love children and I am well behaved and I walk on a leash and I am crate trained. The shelter is the only home I have ever known. I came here when I was about 2 months old and have been here ever since.

My name is Katie and I am the only dog you need to see at the shelter because their is no one as cute as me here. I am a Heeler/Jack Russell Terrier mix. I am about 10 mons old and I am current on my shots except rabies and I have been wormed. I am housebroken and I walk on a leash. I love to ride in the car. I was brought to the shelter by a lady that picked me up walking down a very busy street and so far my owners have not come to get me. I would make a fabulous addition to any family because I am fun and cute.

Katie was actually adopted not long ago by a single mom and a 4 year old boy.  The mom could not make the little boy quit hurting Katie so Katie came back to the shelter.  Mom said Katie was high energy but well behaved and never got snappy with the little boy even though he would hurt her.  I have Katie's brother and he is a great dog.

My name is Mindi and I am about 6 or 7 months old. I was brought to the shelter by a lady that found me. She sould not keep me becasue of her job. So she brought me to the shelter. I am housebroken and good on a leash, I love to ride in the car and I love people. I would love to have a family and a backyard to run and play with my family, but I definately want to come in and sleep close to my family.

My name is Jaxx and I am a Belgian Malinois. I am about 2 yrs old. I get along with other dogs. I walk on a leash and I behave well around people. I need to be spayed. I am up to date on my shots except for rabies. Jaxx was brought to us by Animal Control.  She is a sweet girl and does well in any situation.  Some people are not familiar with the Malinois.  They are the Belgian equal to a German Shepherd. They do they same work and are as dependable if not more so. I have contacted Malinois Rescue several times and they can not take her because they are full.

The list is long this time because the shelter has been at above capacity for 2 months.  And our adoptions are down and we have had a record number of people surrendering pets because of the economy.  These are all great dogs that we have had for months and some of them all of their lives.

Please consider helping one of them. Thank you for your consideration!

Four absolutely adorable kittens are now weaned and ready for their new adventures...their mother was killed (don't ask) and the babies were bottle fed and cuddled by loving foster moms.

There are two solid black, one black and white and one gray tabby...can you find room in your heart and home for one (or some) of these little guys??

My parents are moving and can't have pets where they are going, and are looking for a loving home for their two Pomeranian dogs.

Must go together, they DO NOT do well with small children, fine with age 8 and up.

Kaleb (blond) male, 7 lb, 5 years old, fixed, loves to play fetch!

Pepper (black) female, 6 lb, 5 years old, fixed, very active and loving!

They are up to date with shots, apartment trained, dog door trained. They are INDOOR dogs, but love to go for walks, and play in the back yard. They would be great companions for an older or single person or married couple with older children.

If you're interested or know anyone who might be, you may contact my mom:

Esso is a six year old Lab/Rottweiler mix, weighing 80 lbs. She is black with the tan markings associated with Rottweilers. She is well-mannered, leaving plates of people food alone and stays off furniture.  Rarely do I hear her bark. She is current on her shots. Esso is full of affection and can even follow commands to “sit” and “shake”. She gets along well with my seven year old daughter, but not with my other female dogs.  She enjoys riding shotgun in the car and even has an interesting liking for being vacuumed!

Esso is named for the gas station that she was abandoned at.  She introduced herself by hopping in our car.  We love Esso's personality, but due to a recent inheritance of another dog through the death of a family member we are unable to keep her in our home.  Our hope is to find her a home where she can be loved…..and vacuumed every now and then.

Please contact Trace at 817-821-4569.

This is a picture of the stray dog at our home in Kemp Tx. He seems to be very friendly and loves to be around people. This animal is a young male. He also, is playful with our two dogs. We have called local vets and are posting signs. I will call the rescue people this week-end. Call me if you need additional information. I will try to bring him in Tuesday to check for microchip.

Thank you.

Mufasa:

Is a great boy! We have really enjoyed him here at Waggin' Tails. When he came to us he was quite a package, from barking all the time to not knowing how to walk on a leash. After working with our staff and our CPDT he has made great improvements. We are able to gently lead him on a leash without the use of extra restrains ex: choke collar, halti or gentle leader and his barking is to a minimal. Although we were unsuccessful at integrating him in with our daycare dogs in the playrooms, he is not what we would consider an aggressive dog. He is kind and gentle and just wants lots of love. He was timid and scared around the other dogs and didn't know how to react to their presence. Mufasa has a beautiful golden coat, great teeth and a very healthy appetite . He loves Bill Jac, one of our house dog foods . It is our opinion that in time Mufasa will make a great playmate for another dog. He has a heart of gold! Mufasa is 18 months old, about 50 pounds, UTD shots, neutered and micro chipped. HE is Heartwrom positive, but funds have been donated to treat this upon adoption.

Mufasa had been confiscated by the Collin County Animal Services. He had been chained in the yard his whole life long. AS Officers had to remove the chain with bolt cutters. They kept a section hanging on his kennel as a constant reminder of why they are on the job.

Orginally a rescue in Salem, Oregon had agreed to take Mufasa. He was vetted, chipped and money was donated to FLY him to Salem, OR. At the last minute the rescue fell through, leaving Mufasa in boarding. Paying for his boarding is eating up his donations. Mufasa needs his own home now.

If you can help Mufasa please contact:

Gracie is about 5  or 6 months old and her foster mom can not keep her any longer and is looking for a shelter to place her in. She is a sweet playful little girl and has had her shots is heartworm negative, spayed and will make someone a great pet. She does not get along with the other 14 year old Beagle, but I think she just needs a younger dog or at least people to play with her and give her some attention.

If anyone is interested just have them call me at 903 654 2472 or email to sa_coker@yahoo.com

Thanks
Sharon

Trouble has been bounced around from relative to relative, is currently at one of my neighbors.  They named her Trouble, which seems to have put a curse on her.  .  Trouble's current "owner" worked hard to build a good sized pen and shelter for her, but was going to take her to the pound, thinking she was so cute she'd be sure to be adopted.  I told him the shelters were overflowing.

Trouble is exactly 40 pounds , spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative... has the sweetest face and big brown eyes.   She's fawn and white, looks like a boxer/beagle mix.  She is extremely wary of adults, but not at all aggressive .  She was always with the kids before she was penned up.  She used to sit and watch me work in the yard (from a safe distance) with her head tilted like she was curious about everything I was doing.  She is good with other dogs .  My female attacked her and ran her off, even though Trouble rolled on her back in submission.

I think she is a very smart dog, and is suffering because of her insecurity.  Think how different life would have been if she had been named Ginger or something.  She knows that no one wants Trouble.

Hello everyone, I know I am the new kid on the block and I appreciate your patience with me. This is my first time to try this, but I am really desperate for help out here in Rains & Wood County – we have no shelters at all here, so the fate for these little ones is doom and gloom or given away to procreate more.  If anyone has room for puppies or adult dogs, please, please, please email me right away.  I have 3 litters that desperately need to go into rescue and I am full there are 7 pups (8 weeks old – Blue Healer/Bulldog), 7 pups 8 weeks (Walker Coon/Lab) and 9 (Lab?) pups also 8 weeks. This sweet boy appeared in our neighborhood about 2 weeks ago. My granddaughter and her friend have been taking care of him and trying to call everyone they know to find him a home. He is very friendly as you can tell. Presently they are keeping him in a kennel behind one of their houses. The person that lives there is on an extended vacation. Most of the time though he is running free now that school is starting. He appears to be around 7 months to maybe a year. I am just guessing because of his playfulness. He gets along with other dogs and loves all people.

If you have questions just reply to my email address sa_coker@yahoo.com

Not able to take care of this little boy anymore, an elderly neighbor of a volunteer's is having to find a home for her beloved (also) elderly min pin.

This boy weighs just about 8 pounds,  is very sweet and is not hyper...he is neutered, vaccinated...he is missing some teeth.

If you can take him in to live out his days in a tranquil home, please call Nellie Peel at 903-887-0151...

This litter of 6 Blue Heeler Rott Mix pups was brought to the shelter after their mother was killed.  There are three males and three females.  One male with white markings; two females with white markings;  the other three are pretty much black/tans.  The puppies have had their first puppy shot and have been wormed.

The puppies have been living with a foster mom and were bottle fed from about a week and a half old.  They are now eating hard food and are ready for their forever home.

Still with their foster mom, if you are interested in the pups, please email Lois at starline@mycvc.net or call the shelter at 903-432-3422 and we can put you in contact with Lois.

This little 6 lb. boy was rescued from a field where someone obviously dumped him and his sister who died in the field.

He is so loving, adores rescuer's kids...he is not neutered yet and of course has not had any shots or anything else - all easy things to take care of!

They think he's about 9 months old.

Ok, it's a bad picture but this is about the level of commitment from these people who are going out of town and want to get rid of their family pet - don't even get me started!  at least they came in and made an effort...wonder if their children are also an inconvenience.

This girl is about 4 years old, spayed, good with other animals, likes women, doesn't know about children...and she deserves a lot better than this family.

Two little min pins - one female, one male - have to have a new forever family. They belong to my neighbor who went into assisted living and won't be coming home.

These kids are neutered, housetrained, up to date on shots, on heart worm preventative and about 3-4 years old. They went to another home but challenged the older dog living there - so they're back.

They might do better with a younger dog or as only dogs...I'd love to see them go together as they've been together their whole lives.

I'll be the contact for the family so please call or e-mail me if you want more info or to see them.

Little Ziggy was abandoned by his family a few months ago.

Ziggy is a mix of some kind - looks like some terrier.  His former family had him housebroken , but left him outside to fend for himself.  He is 3 years old; weighs about 12-15 pounds ; neutered, but not up to date on shots since those he got before being neutered .  Vet of record is Bo Ivie in Corsicana.

He is protective yet loving once he knows that you aren't a threat.  When I took these pictures, he was growling low and wagging his tail!  He is good with other dogs.

Hope we can find him a loving home that will allow him inside and out!

HELP! HELP! HELP!

Can anyone out there help? I took possession of several dogs and cats last Friday from a house that had been abandoned for 2 weeks.

Most of them are fostered however I need to place 2 -7yr old brother and sister Tabby cats. They are in good health and are spayed and neutered. Are used to being indoors.

Also 2 Chihuahuas and a larger mixed breed dog are available for adoption. Chihuahuas are very emaciated, but larger male dogs seems fine, all very sweet.

Star, a very gentle and submissive, probably young pit bull mix is in need of a forever home.

She is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative...she was found in the Waxahachie area about a month ago and rescuer got her healthy enough to be spayed in anticipation of finding a good home for her.

She is good with other dogs and with people but has not been around cats. She is not housetrained.

She follows rescuer's male dog around property but doesn't wander off of immediate area. Loves her toys but mostly wants to be in your lap kissing your face.

$500 REWARD!!!

Have you seen me? My name is “Hazel”. I darted out of the house around 10PM on Monday night, October 20. I'm almost 2 years old and my parents miss me terribly. They are offering a $500 reward for my safe return. I have short silvery gray fur with muted tabby stripes and my eyes are golden-green. My voice sounds like a kitten, very high pitched. I squeal when I'm picked up and won't tolerate being held for very long. I love to hunt, so you might see me on the prowl or up a tree. I was last seen in Beachwood Estates.

Please help me get home and call Roland or Sally if you spot me. They can be reached at one of these numbers:

Hello, I receive pet detective notifications from time to time and now am in need of some help. I found this sweet Lab mix at a very high traffic area in Chandler, TX on the intersection of 315 and 31. She is very lovable and had a leash AND collar on her, so I am assuming she did belong to someone. Perhaps she sprung free from a walk with her owner. Her collar had no tags and I will try to get her checked for a micro-chip, but it's doubtful she has one. If anyone knows of this dog or her owners, I'd be happy to bring her back to their home as I'm sure she'd deeply missed.

She's a medium sized dog, maybe around a year old, has dew claws and has honey colored eyes. She looks to be lab/cur mix but I could be wrong.

You can reach me at 903-469-3989 most hours of the day or email me at keriansfineart@yahoo.com.

Thanks,

Kerian Massey

My name is Krista Mc Anally and I work at the Humane Society of Cedar Creek Lake.

I am looking for a foster for a male Lab puppy while he recovers from being nuetered.  I am hoping upon recovery that he will go to California to rescue.  His name is Archie and he is about 3 mons old.  I have attached a picture of him.  If you have fostered for us before you know the drill.  If you have not fostered before, and you would be intertested in helping out, there is a screening contract you will have to complete and sign.  It is not a painful process.

Meet LUCI and ABBI
WE NEED A NEW HOME!

We are twins – can't you tell?  We are almost 7 years old and have been very well taken care of (and probably a little spoiled).  We each weigh around 40 lbs. We have always gone to the vet and got our shots regularly.

Sometimes we argue over food, but other than that, we get along just fine. We don't have to live together anymore, but I would miss my sister a little bit.  We've only been apart for up to 1 day. We are crate and house-trained.

We love kids but, we are not too fond of cats. We have other doggie friends that we get along with fine. We have played with our friends at their houses, Petsmart, and other kennels, too. We like the smaller dogs better than the big ones, though.

We like to ride in the car and go on trips. We have ridden for up to 3 hours at one time.

We need more time, attention, and activity (walks, large yard) than mommy can give us so she wants to find us a home where we can get the attention and activity we need.

So his foster family says that Spanky is about the best dog they've ever fostered for us!  This little guy is now neutered, hw tested (negative), vaccinated and ready for his next adventure.

Rescued from an apartment where he was abandoned and left to fend for himself, this little guy is completely housetrained , loves other dogs and loves humans (isn't it amazing that even after being mistreated and abandoned, dogs still will love humans!?!)!

His adoption fee is $65 which reimburses the clinic for all his services and includes a 6-month box of Heartgard.

Contact Barbara and John Kennedy by email: jken@dctexas.net or call them at 903-451-3093 to see this little guy.

OK - what kitten is not adorable!?!  (that's a rhetorical question)...but this little boy just steals your heart!  he is about 8 weeks old...and loves to play (duh!)... he can be yours!

Call Laura Bryant at 903-887-3078 or contact her by email: teatimer50@aol.com for more info on this little guy...

Their owner died, leaving these two beautiful huge cats alone with few prospects...pampered and loved all their lives, they are now at the mercy of strangers.

Callie
, the one pictured is absolutely gorgeous - 14 pounds of soft calico coloring...she is very gentle - allowed us to bathe her without a whimper or a claw...the other cat left behind is just as gentle - shyer though...he is black/white.

They are both spayed and are TOTALLY indoor cats and should go together...can you help with this??

Hello Everyone I have a special plea.  Sunni is a 3 yr female white boxer that came to us through animal control.  She is a very sweet girl and was adopted soon after getting here.  She went to her new home on a cattle ranch and was fine for about a week and then decided it was great fun to chase the cows.  Before she started chasing cows, her new owners took her to the vet and discovered she had heart wormns and was going to have her treated.  However, after the cow thing she had to come back to the shelter.  I have someone that will pay for her HW treatment but she will need a place to recover.  She will get along with other dogs as long as they are male.  She is aggressive to females otherwise she would already be at my house.

Please consider helping Sunni. Sunni's profile will be at www.hsccl.petfinder.com  There will be picture posted ther as well.

Thank you ,

Hi, my name is "Tulley" and I am a very old gray haired male dachshund with only one eye. I used to be reddish brown but my coat is mostly gray now. My Mommy and I live in Willowwood and my Mommy got sick and had to go to the hospital. She had my family visiting and feeding me but the second day she was gone, July 25th, I got so worried about her, I dug out of the fence and began my travels to find her. I looked and looked but with only one eye, I got confused and now I'm lost and can't find my way home.

If you see me would you pick me up and call my sister, Robin Moon @
903-880-5351. I really want to go home and I know my Mommy misses me as much as I miss her. Thanks, Tulley. By the way, I forgot to put my tags on and I'm wearing only a flea collar.

P.S. Tulley's Mom is home now and she, too, is elderly and is very worried about little Tulley and she is very depressed without him. If you see him, please, please give me a call. I'll come anyplace anytime to get Tulley.

Thanks,
Robin

Junior is the only remaining kitten of a litter of 4. I'm very recently divorced and have just moved into my own place and started a new job and I have 3 children. My expenses are very tight and I'm just unable to care for him any longer. The apartment community will require a $400 deposit from me when they find out he is here and I will be forced to place him in a little crate and put him outside someone's door at that point. I just don't want it to get there. He is neutered and frontal declawed and is a huge snuggle bunny. Recently, he's started to "talk" to us and he always meow's after someone sneezes as if to say "bless you".

He was never a kitten we intended to keep as we only wished for mom (we didn't get her spayed in time before this pregnancy but not a concern any longer).  It just seems that no one has space for the little guy.

Do you know somone or are you able to provide him with a good home?

Hi everyone,

This is Jordana with Van Zandt County Humane Society.  I got a call on our hotline tonight from an adoptive mother who has dog that has been missing for 24 hours now.  His name is Gus and he looks like the dog in these pictures.  The only difference is he is more white than gray.  Gus is a lab mix and weighs approx 50lbs.  He is neutered and current on all vaccs and HW.  He has been microchipped and currently not wearing any tags.  She lives in the Tyler area but we are asking for all groups to be on the look out for this dog.  He was adopted in late April with another dog and the adoptor says that he never leaves the yard area.  With first monday coming up this weekend we are hoping that we will be able to find this dog soon.

Thanks for all the help!

I have a one year old male llasa shih tzu -  white with brown spots that needs a good home.

He  is not neutered - is paper trained. He is good with other dogs. H'es super sweet and a good dog. He's a puppy still so he needs a family.

Two precious about 5-week old kittens are in need of new homes. They were probably dumped in this rescuer's yard as she cannot find the mother. She thinks they're both boys - one is solid black and calm (and loves her dog!) - the other is black and white and is feisty and hisses at her dog.

This is the sweet little girl who is needing a good and loving home. She turned up at my neighbour's house last week (they are week-enders), crying for food and attention. They took care of her during the week-end, then asked me to take over. They already have two cats, and have just had their first baby, so feel that they cannot adopt her.

She is friendly, lovable and affectionate, and just wants to be picked up, loved and cuddled. When I bring her food, she doesn't know what to do first - eat or be hugged! She is clearly used to people, and even the neighborhood dogs - Roscoe and co. - do not phase her when they come up and want to sniff her; she seems quite comfortable around them. I think that a family on vacation here must have fed and taken care of her; then left to go home and abandoned her, as so many people around here do.

We absolutely need to find her a loving home; she is a wonderful pet and wants to be inside. My guess is that she is around 5 to 6 months old. Please help find her a good home. I will pay to have her spayed, shots, etc. In fact, I would like to have her spayed next week as I don't want one of the wandering toms to jump her, so perhaps you can help me find a foster home while she is recuperating for the two weeks that she has to be kept indoors after the surgery, until we can place her permanently. Hopefully, though, you can help me find her a home within the next week or so and a foster home won't be necessary.

Thanks so much!

I have 3 cute Gray Tabby kittens (all kittens are cute).  Two males and one female. They are about 8 weeks old, litter box trained and very people friendly, but have never been outside.

A lady was going to take them but she became ill and I can't keep them anymore - I have many cats. I would be willing to pay for the spay/neuter and shots if done by the Friends of the Animal.

I will send pictures if anyone would like to see them. Just call me or Wade at 903-498-4299.

Lowe's must be the dumping ground for animals these days - a precious cream/yellow stripe 8 week old kitten was found under a truck there.

She had a broken paw which has healed - she's short haired, playful, ADORABLE!

Rescuer has 3 other cats and is moving - can only hold on to her until Friday when she will take her to her vet to put her down.

Jamie has been with us for a while.  He was going to California but complications there have prevented that from happening.  I now have rescue space for him in New Hampshire.  However, transport required that he be out of the shelter enviroment for two weeks prior to transport .  He is being nuetered Tuesday and I would like for him to be able to go in to foster after surgery.

If you have any questions, please call me at the shelter at 903 432-3422 or my cell 903 603-2342.

My name is Merill Harrison and I work for the district. We also own rental property and I have an unfortunate situation.  The tenants living in a property close to where we live have left their dog.  I will not take the dog because we live on a busy farm to market road and my heart has been broken too many times.  This dog is very sweet and playful.

One drawback for some would be that if he is not full blood he is at least 3/4 pit bull.  Very sweet and obviously loyal.  He stays on the front porch of the rental property waiting for his no good owners to come home.

Anyway, if you can help in finding him a home, please email me.  I am sure he will be at his home waiting on the ones that he loves.

Thank you,

This little dog comes wagging up to the car (she may think it's her owner coming back), will eat from my hand, have a chin scratch, then run off.  She stays behind the outbuildings rather than inside them - because she has an escape route, can't be cornered.

My best hope for her now is that she could visit the woman in the assisted living facility, then do our best to convince them that she would be no more trouble than a poodle, would do her owner a world of good, and save the dog's life.  The old woman cries all the time and worries about her dog, according to her son.  He was hesitant about having the dog visit the old woman, because he said she would cry when the dog left.

(update) Yesterday for the first time the little girl let me pet her all over, didn't leave after she ate.  I could have picked her up and taken her away, I think, but I had my big dogs in the car so I'll have to try to bring her away today.  I think loneliness has finally made her needy enough to let someone help her.

Having the assisted living facility change its limits on the size of dogs may be unlikely, and it only postpones the inevitable.  She does need a home, and I'll take her to my house tonight.

I'm also worried because the dog has swarms of mosquitoes around her in the evenings (near the lake, of course) and I doubt she has any protection against heartworm.

Thanks,
Marilyn

This sweet young female with the most gorgeous eyes is now spayed, vaccinated and ready for her new life. It appears she has had puppies awhile back. Very sweet and smart. Color is kinda of blond with a little orange.  She had been dumped and wandered for days looking for her owner before finally being picked up.

Know anyone who would want Max? - he is really cute - very playful and just this Friday they got him neutered - he has been groomed and has his shots - probably between 1-2 years old - he wondered up to Bonnie's and then another friend thought they wanted him but he wants more attention than they can give him - they are gone all day and lots of evenings - guess they weren't thinking when they got him - Australian Shepherd is what we were told.  housetrained.

Sandy needs a Forever Home. Sandy is about 3 yrs old and I think she is probably a Border Collie mix???  She came to us through Animal Control and the day after she arrived, she delievered 6 puppies.  I got her into a foster home with her puppies and they were a happy family living in Athens.  About a week later, I got a litter of 7 heeler pups with out a mom that were about the same age as Sandy's pups.  So she took them all - 13!!.  She has now fed and raised them to weaning age and all are happy healthy pups.  Sandy has some back to the shelter now ans is looking for a forever home.  She is housebroken, great with other dogs, big or little, and I am having her spayed 9/23.

Please pass this along to who ever you know that might be interested in helping Sandy.  After 13 puppies, she deserves a better life and second chance.

A one-year old weimaraner is in need of a forever home. She is not spayed and not housetrained. She climbs fences which is why the family is trying to place her.

Obviously they have not spent any time with her and it's amazing she has not already produced a couple of litters.

If you consider taking this girl, you should probably read up on the breed in advance.

These adorable pups are awesome!  Their mom ran away and another mother dog had to feed her litter and these pups too!  They are fat and healthy for sure.

The puppies are Belgium Sheepdog Mix.  They will be a medium to large sized dog with a good temperment.  These are some of the happiest puppies I know and they love people.

Our family is going through a divorce and needs to find a home for both Boxers. Originally they were moving too but at the last minute living arrangements changed and they can't go now! I have just two short weeks to find them a home.

In a perfect world they would be able to stay together but reality is that they could be split up if that's the only option.

They are both full blood registered Boxers with papers!

Peetey is the white neutered male boxer! He is 8 years old and deaf. He follows his sisters lead and manages just fine. He actually knows sign language.

Jazzy is the brindel spayed female boxer. She is 6 years old and loves her brother. They have been together since her birth.

They are both crate trained and primarily stay inside. They love to go outside if that's where the action is. They stay alone inside the house every day and never have an accident or chew up anything. They are both well-trained lovable dogs.

Even if you aren't interested in taking them, maybe you know someone who is?

Please help spread the word as time is running out!

A 9-month old male boxer puppy is in need of a new home. Given up by his original family, his second family just cannot keep him - their very small dog does not like this boy.

He is not neutered, not on heartworm preventative but is probably vaccinated (original family said he was but there are no records).

He is in at night (not crated) and has never had an accident but is outside all day. He loves people, especially kids and just wants to play. Condition of adoption is that he will be neutered and heartworm tested.

Cleo - Starving

Cleo - Starving No More!

Cleo - found running down Hwy 31 in Athens Oct.29, near the end of endurance. Cleo (for heavy eyeliner) is sweet and gentle, learns quickly, good with cats, dogs, and people.  Surprisingly, she was housebroken when picked up.  She is good in her large crate, where she eats and naps.

Treated for hookworms, on HW preventative, had rabies & puppy shots.  She is cutting her canines, so is about 6 months old.  She weighed 12 pounds on Oct. 30, but has filled out some.  My vet says terrier mix, the rest is AKC (all kinds contributed).  I thought maybe Chihuahua or Italian greyhound, but the ears don't match.  Beautiful big brown eyes, cute, precious, and darling.
